A thermal roof survey has many advantages over other types of leak testing. Not only does it find faults in the roofing membrane, but it also can locate areas of trapped moisture in the roof that can then lead to rot or structural rust.
Flat roofs are often more likely to have moisture trapped between the membrane elements, this is often missed during visual inspections.
